Hedo Turkoglu
Does anyone else think Hedo Turkoglu has been underrated through out his career i n the NBA?
For those who remember the 1990's NBA does he sort of remind you of a detlef schrempf?
Hedo is underrated and those teams who have passed up and left him go elsewhere are now regretting - the latest casualty is Popovich as he realizes the absence of Ginobili is too costly and how good it would be should Hedo remains. Spurs intention of drafting the next Hedo in Casspi in this year's draft reflects their appreciation on such a kind of versatile player (and yes, Spurs will be serious chaser should Hedo opt out this summer).
A comparison between Hedo and Schrempf is really interesting - basically they are real close, even in terms of mental toughness and physical strength. The real differences between the two are Hedo can play point but Schrempf doesn't; Hedo is not quite a PF but Schrempf somehow works as a PF; and Schrempf is a steadier performer statistically than Hedo.
Will Hedo surpass Schrempf? Yes he will, but again he should be more consistent and statistically productive.
Should Hedo be opt out? It depends, but working along with Dwight Howard would mean more future glory.
